Bio: Natalie Portman was born in Jerusalem, the daughter of an Israeli doctor and Jewish-American mother. She took the stage name Portman after her grandmother's surname. She was discovered at the age of 12 in a pizza parlor by an agent for Revlon, who offered her an opportunity to model. Keen to act, she got her big break two years later as the precocious star of Luc Besson's 1994 film Léon. Having starred as Queen Amadala in George Lucas's Star Wars prequel trilogy, she's become one of the biggest female names in Hollywood. In the movie Closer, she steamed up our screens without ever managing to get naked. Natalie has shied away from nude scenes, originally turning down a role in Anywhere But Here until a sex scene was rewritten. But for fans, thankfully her perky breasts were captured by the paparazzi getting an airing on a private beach on a deserted Caribbean island near Saint Barts in August 2000.
